Noel Gallacher in Polo Neck - Oil on Canvas - 25 x 20cm

For a time everything or everyone I tried to drew, ended up looking like Noel Gallagher. I tried to draw my friend Chimon’s fiancee, somehow even she turned out to look like Noel Gallagher. I couldn’t’ explain it. I tried several times to draw Noel Gallagher in a bin bag, inspired by an interview he had with NME, where he absolutely eviscerated the interviewer because his magazine had crowned ‘The 1975’ as ‘rock band of the year’. I despise ’The 1975’ and enjoyed Noel’s no nonsense, dismantling of this despicable bands oeuvre. He was wearing an oversized and (no doubt) overpriced Stone Island bomber jacket which made it appear as if he was peering out of a bin bag. I have tried to draw this three times and never once has Noel Gallacher looked like Noel Gallacher…

Make of that what you will, I am still confused but happy that I have at least captured his noggin. There is no room for a binbag, so he is presented in a polo neck. xx
