After stumbling over my utter disbelief and nausea I set about forming a response to the question of what I thought about it. After sifting through copious amounts of fanciful and gaudy desktop patterns I realised that what this reminds me of the most were those wolf fleeces, you know the things you see at markets and dying shopping malls. this realisation led me down a rabbit hole of searching out photographs of wolf fleeces being worn in the wild. I found an amazing blog by Rosemary Hudson, which not only has great photographs of people in wolf fleeces but other excellent collections of photographs including, dead birds, drinks with shoes and leotards and vegetables.

This painting is a result of this meandering mind adventure. Stimulating conversation and an open mind can go along way. From an abhorrent ‘award winning’ landscape photograph to a fine art oil painting in 47 east steps. Everything is so fascinating isn’t it?

Please note I am not mocking people who wear Wolf Fleeces, this is undoubtedly a celebration. Warm and practical, fantasy outerwear is as valid and laudable as any other strain of fashion in my eyes.
