Anon - Oil Painting on Wood Panel

I have no idea who this fellow is, I made this while practicing fast moving, confident brush strokes with a medium square brush. I was listening to Danzig, Pantera and Fu Manchu, trying very hard not to break down and cry over the abhorrent happenings in Palestine. I felt such a strong connection with the grieving Fathers after watching some harrowing footage from the strip, honestly man I was choked up I felt like I had to do something. I'm aware this makes no difference apart from maybe expressing some solidarity for fathers everywhere. The background was green for a while but it felt cheap and insincere, what with me living 300 meters away from BAE and doing nothing about them… What can I do, make a solitary protest and go to jail ‽ Organisation is not my strong point… My compliance is prolonging this nightmare etc etc etc.

Anyhow I’m babbling trying to relive the tangle of my brain which this painting expresses and indeed untangled (a little) at the time.

Approximately a3 in size. Ply wood panel box ready to hang.

Available for pickup in Glasgow or can be crated and couriered at buyers expense.
