Up the Druim Bad a’ Ghaill. I was working on timelapses for James Lindsay’s epic music video 'Lewisian Complex' (check it out on YouTube). Wind must’ve hit 60 knots at points, with mountains disappearing and reappearing so regularly in the snow squalls. I cheered them all on as they just stood there and took it. I tried my best to endure the worst of the weather but whenever the tripod took off I’d skulk back behind a friendly boulder. Hiding behind a massive rock isn’t the same as getting a mortgage, but the premise of reliable shelter is similar. The thermometer said -2°c but man, it felt much colder.
