Glen Affric. I was going to take a wander up the 10,000 year wood but I was chasing scotch mist. There was none in the high hills so I stuck to the rivers and the lakes that Iâm used to. Hadnât been down this way since I was a teenager and the local cows had really dug the place up. Itâs quite odd because the baby cows sound a bit like car horns, since folk are often beeping at them to get them off the road. I found a stand of birch trees and as I waited with my camera for the leaves to stop quivering I became aware of a strange noise. Turns out it was some boys drilling into the bedrock. For what purpose, I have no idea. I really hope itâs not a wind farm. I think this glen provides quite enough renewable energy as it is. This tree seemed to be the founder of the group, or it exuded a charismatic wisdom at least. I sat on a boulder for a while, spying on the boys drilling rock up on the ridge with a tele lens and all the while, I felt the presence of the tree behind me.
Collection very much preferred. Can be crated and couriered at additional expense.
