Tower blocks: the mountains of the city. Strange contraptions, full of mysterious paranoia. Trapped in the city, I longed for the open spaces from which I hail. Everything suffered during lockdown, my inspiration, my general demeanor. However, in the interests of pragmatism and attempting to redefine my place in the city, I began dragging myself out at night with my camera, searching for something... anything to spark an interest, a passion, excitement, and that illusive flow-basedpeace I seek. Unexpectedly, I found it around the city’s numerous tower blocks. When I’m out in the wilderness, I tend to walk obscure and nonsensical routes, following my eye to places ordinary people rarely go. In the city this pattern continued; I found myself in remote parts of Maryhill, Springburn and Clydebank looking for interesting arrangements of towers. I can’t say it was an entirely pleasurable experience, but it was an experience. I usually fear the sea sweeping me away or having a heavy fall. In the city though, the overarching fear came from other people.
Collection very much preferred. Can be crated and couriered at great expense.
