Up Helly Aa

Shetland is curious place. A land of it's own volition, culturally unique with a strong and closely held history.Up helly aa is a viking fire festival which goes a long way back. Ralph Tulloch was Bressay's chosen one this year and I was along for the ride to document and engineer the photographic memory. Lot's of drinking, paraffin, shouting and flames were involved and the whole thing was an experience I will not forget.
