NAE PLANS - An experiment in Folk - Music Documentary
Filmed during the recording of the NAE PLANS album. This music documentary captures highs and lows of undertaking such a ridiculous project. This film is designed illustrate the concept of NAE PLANS and shed light on why music that is created without a plan can be exciting, inspirational and really good craic.I'm proud of this film. It's funny, has a clear story and characters, it looks good, and uses cool old analogue tv's for a bit of extra pazzaz. I managed to capture complete one-shot takes without to much shoddy movement and focus and I consider this to be a stepping stone into making more films of this length and creative vision. Although short videos perform much better view wise on the internet, they seem a little bit disposable. As with all things NAE PLANS this is designed to be a slow burner and something that will represent some value 10 years down the line. So aye if you watch it to the end I tip my hat to you. When you consider the average internet attention span is now less than a second making films that are 30 minutes seems stupid. But I don't think it is and hopefully over time the viewing figures for this will increase steadily. The fact that 200 people have seen the thing in reality on the big screen at the album launches is heartening and I hope that there will be many more NAE PLANS in the future.http://naeplans.co.uk
