Landscapes - Summer 2015
It's been a pretty fantastic Summer if you ask me. Aye the weathers been changeable right enough; but on the whole it's been warm eh? I've only felt near hypothermic once and that's pretty good for a Scottish summer. For the first time in a long time I've managed to get a few proper holidays on the go and I've had some lovely times in some amazing places with amazing people. As always Wester Ross has proven itself to be the most picturesque and epic, but some wanderings around the Lake District and Sutherland have been exceptional too.Any how, hope you like the pictures. As always they're not typical examples of the genre but I always find the details and the distortions are the most interesting parts of any environment. The wide angle panorama is always a treat but it's the stuff beneath your feet that connects you to the landscapes at large and lately this is what's drawn my attention. The detail, the plants, the stones, the shells, the bugs. Go for a walk with a kid and they will seldom look of into the distance wistfully like most adults do, they'll be in and about it, interacting, poking, destroying and being part of it all.So here's to Love & Holidays and that land that binds us all together. What will autumn bring I wonder? RAIN! it will bring RAIN!
