Jenn Butterworth & Laura-Beth Salter - Band Photography

So I had the pleasure of not only taking the photos of these two very talented ladies, I also got the chance to record them performing in audio and video. Jenn and LB are two of the most talented musos I know on the Glasgow music scene, not only do they create a banging, tight and refined rhythm section they also have voices that can be swathed in angelic sweetness or down in the dirt with a raucous blues howl.So we set up the studio with a fairly authentic 50's duo recording setup, A vocal mic in the centre and a instrument mic at waist height. Ran the mics through a few tubes and into the computer. It's sound pretty good does it not? Any how this was about pictures and for those we kept the 50's vibe on the go. Man I love the 50's, the music, the styles, the design, the colour, the positive technological / sociological outlook. So aye there you have it, as always band photography is a strange beast, it's hard to come up with new ideas so in this case putting my old slant on the old 50's duo classic seems to have paid dividends. These are two very talented girls that can play and sing the crap out of pretty much anything, they look good, they sound good and can perform off pat to near perfection in one take. So why not just capture that? Seemed like a good plan to me.These girls are total pro's. BOOK THEM!https://www.facebook.com/JennandLB?fref=ts
