My love-hate relationship with my Russian rangefinder lumbers on slowly with a limp and many, many lost frames of film. Though I love how this camera can be tweaked from a leaking pile of Ukrainian botch to a high fidelity sharp-as-a-tack precision-designed image capturing device with only one strip of gaffer tape, I positively hate how unreliable its wind-on and shutter release are. I have lost many photographs and lengths of film to its low quality mechanism and although the design of this camera is a marvel, the build of this one is less than stellar. There is a reason these are a tenth of the price of a Contax Zeiss. So aye, might just have to save up for the German original, or maybe just put up with its shite in the hope that by sheer randomness I'll end up with more of what I like from it.
