Virtual / Actual Sketchbook
I've got a new bit of drawing software, it's very good. I am learning to use it, it's not like real drawing but it does have a great 'look'. I used to use a programme called artrage for this kind of interactive digital painting but it struggled to reach the fidelity and scale that I would've liked. This new programme is made by Autodesk who are pretty synonymis with quality software, so I have given it a thorough work out.I have a few illustration projects on the go for clients so I have taken the time out to up my game. Get my hand in. Practice. Hone & Explore... Sometimes I struggle with giving my creative beast time to run free, go weird and have fun. So I have spend two days with my headphones on doodling, getting my chops together and figuring out how to use this new digital sketchbook I have on the go. I've had fun. 'Iggy offers meat' is my favourite here. His new album is great, you should buy it before he dies and it starts 'trending'. The portrait of Prince makes me sad to be honest, his music makes my happy; apart for 'Sometimes I feel Tangerine' that one still hurts and that's what was on loop when I drew this. I think I've captured some kind of melancholy here that wasn't in the photo I used for reference. The others were just little random sketches that turned into something... Anyhow; hope you like them. Go give me follow on instagram if you want to keep up with all this randomness.Sound!
