Rachel Hair Trio - Band Photography
I'm giving you a bit of bum steer with the pictures I have chosen to highlight here. If you scroll down you will see the pictures that Rachel asked for. However these top 3 offer a little insight into what makes me tick. The Happy Accident; A joyous and serendipitous happening. These first three were taken in the two seconds the studio lights take to recharge and I love the look. Totally Marvel comics and although Jen is a very pretty guitarist I enjoyed obscuring her face with a fairy light, crowning her in a futuristic helmet of light like the super hero she is. Although these pictures look a bit horror, they are a product of fun. Any artist knows the power of the happy accident. It is your friend, embrace it. The realm of subconscious, random chaos is where true, bona fide artistic greatness lies. There is no way to manufacture it, it just happens as a bolt from the blue. These things are what life is made of, do not ignore the magic, it is where the X comes from. The rest of the photos here are to Rachel's brief, bright, hi fidelity studio shots. Straight forward, illustrative and functional. Photos have to serve a function for bands so having comic inspired, horror portraits with obscured faces obviously aren't right for what Rachel's Trio do. But I enjoyed myself and I hope you like them too.Rachels new alum is out now. More info here...http://www.rachelhair.com/shop/
