Linn LP12

I had the privilege of going to the Linn factory on the south side of Glasgow. 4c design had done some CAD work for them on a new Aluminium billet Sondek LP12SE record deck. Now I've been obsessed with sound equipment since I was a teenager and it was fantastic to get to see inside such an illustrious audio icon. We got a tour round the factory and got to listen to some truly exceptional sound systems, which sounded amazing. So controlled and smooth the sound is so thick and detailed that you can almost touch it. Hi-fidelity realised. The LP12 is an icon of the sound world, introduced in 1972 it represented the very pinnacle of audio technology and is still regarded as the best sounding record deck available. It's insane how detailed the design and testing process is at Linn. They really do craft and hone everything they make, they won't even let you buy one of their top systems unless the room your putting it in is acoustically correct. Now that is attention to detail.http://www.linn.co.uk/music_systems_sondek_LP12
