An escape to the wilds of Achmelvich - West Ross - is always a due and profitable thing for ones soul. It puts life in perspective, makes the worries of modern life seem far less obtuse and gives you faith that the world remains a wondrous and rich place that has endured and changed very little despite humanities best efforts. There is nowhere on earth that can provide such fine vistas, air and craic whilst all the time reminding you that you are living in the real world, this is no Caribbean island. The midges eat you alive the weather changes in the blink of an eye and the locals are what you could only describe as vividly colourful.This video is a small tribute to my friends, some fine times shared together in such a bitterly, sweet, magnificent place.
