Schmo Graphics was started in 2001 by Somhairle MacDonald with a view to creating original Graphics and Illustration for businesses and Individuals. Somhairle has been scribbling and colouring from childhood but Schmo got a kick start in 2001 after receiving an Design & Ecommerce Award for the very first website the company designed Since then Schmo’s approach has been recognised and employed by clients ranging from high street clothing manufacturers to photographers and encompasses work across several mediums – from printed textiles to website design.
The success of Schmo has been built around Somhairle’s ability to combine both traditional art-forms – like drawing and painting – with computer based design. Leaving behind the generic template based websites and print media, designs can be built with original artwork that’s specific to the client. It’s an approach which reinforces the client’s identity and whilst originally striking a chord in the creative industries, it soon became clear that businesses across the board could benefit – whether it be in creating a logo to strengthen brand identity or in creating a website that looks the business.
Schmo is a small business offering a personalized service which focuses on providing imaginative responses to client’s needs.
