BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

craetive-BOOMMisha suggested I do a banner design for the online arts magazine creative boom. They had done an article on his book bamako boom boom. So in a rare moment of calm I did. Went for the nuclear armageddon vibe just to keep everything light hearted. It’s up on the site for the next week or so. The sites pretty cool, full of inspirational stuff ranging from really expressive fine art to corporate design, literature and architecture. So check it out!

High-8 taking shape.

high-8

Me and Misha spent a few hours on developing the high-8 blog a little. It’s starting to look pretty nice, Misha chose a very simplistic typographical based theme Sans-serif racer. With a bit of tinkering it has complimented the mainly photographic content very well. As the name would suggest you would expect some video up there and it is due to materialise soon. If you are in to wilderness adventuring then check it out, you can sign up if you’ve got something to contribute. You can also see what I get up to when I’m not slaving over a hot computer and fathering.

Rolling with the big daawgs

So some of my work has weaselled it’s way into the higher echelons of the design community. The new schmo site making 4th of the editors picks on the w3c site. w3c are the world wide web consortium and are basically the force that continues to develop and improve the web and the programming languages of .html and css. Every web page has their name at the top of the code, so they’re a big deal; chuffed I am. Added to this some of my designs have made it on to inspiration site creattica. Namely the high-8 logo and the ss-st mountainbike concept. Loads of other designs were rejected, not sure what their criteria is, but happy to have these things up there, the standard across the site is certainly very high and I’ve been using it and it’s predecessor faveup for inspiration for a while. Rolling with the big daawgs alright.
