Graphic Design

A well crafted icon or symbol is intuitive, recognisable and familiar.
I always ensure my logo work is identifiable small and large, that it can be used in grayscale and has the option to be used on black, white or transparent backgrounds.

I tend to create a minimum of 3 design options. Brain storming the concept to arrive at a point where the client and myself have a good visual foundation on which to develop a finished product.

Page layout is one of my passions. I love finding that balance between content and the space required to let it breathe and pop of the page. I have been formally trained in typography and have a developed appreciation of the fine detail that is required to make a page hang together atheistically and contextually.

Illustration

Being taught to draw by my Mum and Gradpa Scott is one of my first memories, it is engrained in my being and pretty much a reflex.

My love of image making is defined by the simple act of making a mark. I have many techniques and avenues to explore in doing this, ranging from the humble pencil and paint brush to 3d models and graphics tablets.

Doing things by hand is important in this mechanised mass-produced world, the injection of soul that the human hand can inflect on an image is tangible.

With an arsenal of techniques, styles and mediums I can provide illustration that is full of character, style and substance.
